NFL 100 Season Celebration – Case Study
As we celebrate our 100th NFL Season, we needed a way to honor all our loyal fans by providing these once in a lifetime fan experiences, honoring our players both past and president that made football what it is today and honoring our local communities by driving meaningful impact. My role in this initiative was to successfully supervise a team of designers and researchers on the NFL’s flagship digital product, the League’s highest-profile initiative in 2019, NFL100, and NFL Mobile. https://www.behance.net/gallery/87271437/NFL-100-Website- NFL100-DigitalMedia-WebbySubmission.001

Super Bowl 50 Companion App – Case Study
The Super Bowl host committee needed a way to showcase all of the Super Bowl celebrations around the San Francisco Bay Area. We also wanted to give fans a way to navigate the city and register for the Fan Mobile Pass which let fans check-in at certain activities, collect badges, unlock exclusive Super Bowl content, be entered for a chance to win Super Bowl 50 tickets and other prizes. As the Creative Lead on this effort, my task was to craft a solution that allowed fans to track the status of multiple events, identify common navigation patterns and create a gamified reward system thats engaging for fans as they spent time exploring each Super Bowl 50 experience. I also worked with the NFL Host Committee, Product Manager and Claremont Interactive to conceptualize the best way to connect fans with the San Francisco Bay Area that included events such as NFL Experience Driven by Hyundai, the 50th Mile and Super Bowl City presented by Verizon. -
NFL App Watch Experience – Case Study
Fans needed a way to watch weekly Highlights and their favorite NFL Network shows without having to navigate all over the app to find the video content they were looking for. Each week the NFL content team, along with NFL Network publishes hundreds of Highlights and Network show clips relevant to each week but without a dedicated location to feature the video content. With only 7% of our visitors consuming video, we decided to use this opportunity to increase videos watched by 30% which would also increase video pre-roll. We aimed to have a persistent location where fans could easily find the videos they love watching each week. As the Creative Lead on this effort, I audited the usage of the current video offering across iOS, Android and Tablet devices and conducted interviews with the content creators to better understand the product specifics and process of publishing the content. Taking those insights and process limitations, I applied usability methods and industry common practices within the design. Many factors were taken into account based on the platform, business requirements, feedback loop from in-house team members and fan surveys. -
Video Watch Experience – NFL App
Fans needed a way to watch weekly video and their favorite network shows without having to navigate all over the app to find what they were looking for. The problem facing the team was finding a location to serve the fans what they needed. The previous video solution lived inside the More Menu and wasn't relevant or contextual to anything on the NFL calendar and wasn't updated on a regular bases. Working closely with the UX Team, Engineering and Media Intelligent created a naturally organic source of open collaboration and solidified a sense of value in the experience. We decided to generated 3 different solutions that would A-B-C test live in production to determine which approach fans resonated with most. This was historically the first time we had the ability to run a multivariate test across multiple platforms. Let’s Grub App
Let’s Grub gave users the ability to invite anyone to a social event, chat with only members that accepted the invitation and track the travel progress of anyone in route to the event. As the Creative Director of BFI, worked with the CEO and Offshore Engineering team in India to develop this concept. A few of the problems we ran into was rights to privacy, when to start tracking a users travel status and when to stop after the user had arrived at their destination. This app hybrid was the first of its kind to give users the ability to send an invitation that would expire in a given amount of time and track the travel status of multiple users. NFL Shows App
The goal was to think of a way to expose fans to all NFL Network and RedZone content using their mobile devices, tablets and connected TV devices, gated by authentication through a subscription to a participating cable provider. The application should also feature live streaming access to news, highlights, and shows on NFL Network. Role: Creative Direction, Visual Design, UX Design, Research -
NFL Cellular Authentication
Fans needed a way to sign in using their cable provider so they could watch live preseason games through cellular authentication. Some problems we ran into were seeing if users could identify which games they could watch live within their network, promoting GamePass as a subscription product and allowing users to use their cable provider to watch a local game. Role: UX Design, Creative Lead, Visual & UI Design -
In-app Messaging
The goal was to find ways to promote new featured within the NFL Mobile application. Characters and visual cues were tested on fans to see if they could identify the promoted feature without reading the content. Role: UX Design, Art Direction, Visual & UI Design -
Stats – NFL App
Fans wanted a deeper stats experience as they followed the season. Nailing the basics like Team News, Highlights, Player Cards, Injuries, Boxscores and the ability to shop for merchandise was some of our key insights. Visual Flow Diagrams
As a part of my design process, I create in-depth flow documents that later become the roadmap for developers. Flow diagrams help to visually communicate processes such as use cases, page flows, and business processes. -
Style Guides
The implementation of a style guide provides uniformity in style and formatting within a design and across multiple applications. Every major design project has its own style guide: a set of conventions about how to design for that project. It is much easier to understand a large design project when all the designs are in a consistent style.- GolfPass_styleguide_087

Ant Farm: Trick r Treat Game
Game Concept: Sam is carrying a jackolantern, exploring a dark, haunted, evil looking neighborhood, trying to get from one end to another. He walks along the street that has various turns/dead ends. The jackolantern is his only source of light, so you don't see the entire maze at once, but rather you see Sam in the middle of the screen, with a circular viewable area of the neighborhood and the rest of it in black. Sam has to grab powerups to keep his lantern lit, otherwise the light will fade, the viewable area will shrink and game over. He's also gotta avoid enemies. Roles: Conceptualize and design all assets from the ground up. -
